About the Role

Amaris Consulting is looking for a Product Development Project Manager – Lead to support one of our clients in the Defense industry. In this role, you will drive complex engineering projects and tenders related to commercial vehicles (trucks and armored vehicles) from early concept phase all the way to production start.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management – Defense Engineering

Lead product development projects in the defense engineering area from initial concept to production start.

Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams (design, testing, industrialization, etc.).

Ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety requirements.

Manage risks, dependencies, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.

Report project status and key milestones to stakeholders and management.

Tender Management – Engineering & Costing

Lead the engineering response to customer tenders in the defense/commercial vehicle domain.

Define technical solutions and architectures in collaboration with engineering teams.

Prepare and consolidate engineering cost estimates and planning for tender responses.

Support customer negotiations from an engineering and cost perspective.

Once a tender is won, lead the engineering activities from award to production date.

Profile & Requirements

Minimum 8 years of experience in product development of trucks / commercial vehicles.

Mandatory: Proven experience in armored vehicle development (design, integration, or project management).

Demonstrated experience in tender management (technical solution definition and cost estimation).

Strong background in mechanical/electrical/vehicle engineering (or related field).

Solid project management skills: planning, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder communication.

Experience in Defense projects and standards is a strong plus.

Ability to work in an international environment and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills in English; [add local language if required].
