What is needed in this role:

To succeed as a Mainframe Batch Infrastructure Engineer, you need a strong technical foundation combined with a structured and dependable way of working and Technical skills and experience:

Solid experience with IBM z/OS in a batch‑processing environment

Strong knowledge of JCL, batch scheduling, and workload management

Understanding of mainframe storage, datasets, and file handling

Familiarity with incident handling, root‑cause analysis, and production support

Basic scripting skills are an advantage

A structured approach to troubleshooting and documentation

Able to work closely with application teams, operations, and infrastructure specialists

Clear communication skills — able to explain technical issues in simple terms

Comfortable taking ownership and driving issues to resolution

A proactive mindset with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written
