Your New Role

Are you passionate about books, publishing and digital content? We are looking for two experienced Editors to join a growing editorial team and help shape the books experience across European markets.

We are recruiting for two separate contractor positions:

Editor – Spain & Italy: Responsible for the books storefronts across Spain, Italy and San Marino. Professional fluency in Spanish and Italian is required, with a particular focus on the Spanish market.

Editor – Poland: Responsible for the books storefront for Poland. Professional fluency in Polish and strong knowledge of the Polish publishing landscape are required.

In both roles, you will take ownership of your assigned market, curating and promoting books across genres and connecting the right stories with the right audiences. You will combine strong editorial judgement with cultural awareness, market knowledge and data-driven insights to create engaging and relevant recommendations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Developing and contributing to editorial strategies for your assigned market

Taking ownership of the relevant books storefront and curating content across genres

Managing high-priority editorial programmes and promotions

Writing, reviewing and tagging editorial content and communications

Building and maintaining relationships with publishers and industry partners

Evaluating publisher-suggested titles and identifying opportunities for editorial promotions

Using market research, cultural insights and data analytics to inform editorial decisions

Identifying relevant authors, series, titles and cultural trends for different audiences

Collaborating with regional and global teams to share market insights and align editorial strategies

Representing the editorial team at relevant book festivals, cultural events and industry gatherings when applicable

To succeed in this role, you will need:

3–5 years of experience in editorial, content curation, merchandising, publishing or bookselling, preferably within a digital-first environment

For Spain & Italy: Professional fluency in both Spanish and Italian, with strong knowledge of the Spanish and Italian publishing landscapes

For Poland: Professional fluency in Polish and strong knowledge of the Polish publishing landscape

Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate with international teams

Experience working with digital content, editorial programmes or content merchandising

Ability to combine quantitative data and qualitative insights to inform editorial decisions

Strong cultural awareness and an ability to identify relevant trends, authors and titles

Excellent writing, organisational and communication skills

A genuine passion for books and spoken-word content

Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
