Are you passionate about embedded software development and interested in shaping the future of vehicle dynamics and steering technology? ALTEN is currently looking an Embedded Software Developer for an exciting assignment within the heavy vehicle industry. You will join a highly skilled development team working with advanced electrohydraulic steering systems, contributing to innovative solutions that enhance vehicle performance, safety, and driver experience.

This is an opportunity to work throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from requirements and system design to implementation, testing, release, and continuous improvement of steering functions used in commercial vehicles worldwide.

Your role

As an Embedded Software Developer, you will play an important role in the development and maintenance of software and functionality connected to advanced steering systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

Design, development, and integration of embedded software solutions

Requirements analysis and functional specification

Software implementation, testing, verification, and troubleshooting

Software release and maintenance activities

Functional safety and cybersecurity-related development

Collaboration with global engineering teams and suppliers

Vehicle testing, feature calibration, and functional tuning

Supporting continuous improvements and contributing to technical discussions and decisions

You will work closely with software engineers, mechatronics engineers, system architects, and verification teams in a collaborative environment that values knowledge sharing, innovation, and engineering excellence.

Required QualificationsB.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field

Minimum 5+ years of experience within embedded software development

Strong experience with MATLAB and Simulink

Experience with AUTOSAR integration and Vector DaVinci

Hands-on experience in C++ or C#

Knowledge of CANoe and CANalyzer

Meritorious ExperienceExperience working with Git

Understanding of rapid prototyping and dSPACE tools

Knowledge of SystemWeaver

Experience with diagnostics and UDS protocols

Basic understanding of ISO 26262 Functional Safety

Experience within Vehicle Dynamics, Steering Systems, or Advanced Driver Functions

Automotive cybersecurity knowledge

Experience from commercial vehicle development

C/CE driving license
