A snapshot of your day
As an IT/OT Specialist, you will play a key role in establishing and supporting the digital foundation of our new manufacturing facility in Trollhättan. Working closely with production, engineering, maintenance, automation, and external suppliers, you will help connect and integrate production equipment into the factory network and ensure reliable day-to-day operation of OT and industrial IT systems.
Your work will range from onboarding new production assets and troubleshooting connectivity issues to supporting Smart Factory initiatives and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and infrastructure standards. You will be a critical contributor to building a modern, connected, and efficient manufacturing environment from the ground up.
How you'll make an impact
Support the deployment and operation of IT and OT infrastructure within the factory environment.
Connect, configure, and maintain production equipment, industrial PCs, scanners, printers, HMIs, cameras, and other manufacturing technologies.
Manage and maintain OT devices and assets throughout their lifecycle.
Support Smart Factory projects, enabling digital transformation through connectivity and industrial technology solutions.
Assist in commissioning new production lines and equipment during factory expansion activities.
Maintain accurate documentation of factory systems, assets, network connectivity, and operational procedures.
Partner with engineering, automation, maintenance, and global IT teams to deploy and integrate new production equipment and systems.
Support cybersecurity and compliance requirements, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance manufacturing efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Provide local IT and OT support to the factory organization, ensuring stable operations, rapid problem resolution, and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems
What You Bring
Technical education in Information Technology, Automation, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience supporting and developing IT/OT environments within manufacturing or industrial operations.
Working knowledge of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, switching, and wireless communications, as well as Windows-based systems and hardware
Knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols.
Understanding of OT cybersecurity, asset management, and the integration of digital production technologies.
Experience working with production equipment suppliers and factory projects.
Knowledge of manufacturing systems and digital production technologies.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset combined with excellent communication skills in English, Swedish is considered an advantage in the role.
About the Team
You will be part of the Digital Manufacturing & Operations (DMO) organization, supporting manufacturing and production operations. The team works at the intersection of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT), enabling secure, reliable, and efficient manufacturing processes through modern digital solutions.
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
