Predicting the future is exciting. Inventing it is even better. At Ericsson, we do both!

5G is already transforming industries around the world, and Ericsson has been at the forefront since the first commercial launch in 2018. Now, we are investing heavily in the next generation of wireless technology, where advanced ASIC and FPGA development play a crucial role in shaping the future of connectivity.

We are looking for an experienced FPGA Developer to join our Digital Development Team in Lund, Sweden. In this role, you will work on the architecture of next-generation devices for Radio and RAN Compute products. You will be part of a team with long-term responsibility for evolving key IPs and subsystems, helping define the roadmap for the next 2-3 years.

This is an opportunity to work with advanced technology, collaborate with highly skilled colleagues across Ericsson, and contribute to innovations that will shape future communication networks.

Our organization works according to Agile principles, where teamwork, collaboration, and close interaction are at the heart of how we succeed.

What you will do:

Collaborate with System Architects, R&D organizations, Lab teams, and product hardware and software teams.

Plan and implement FPGA strategies together with FPGA leads across different sites and continuously drive innovation and new methodologies.

Actively contribute to the Global FPGA Workgroup.

Maintain a comprehensive view of current and future FPGA development within the Lund team.

Drive and promote quality in FPGA development

The skills you bring:

Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent education.

Strong knowledge of FPGA technology, design environments, and development methodologies, with 8+ years of FPGA development experience.

Added advantage to have experience in advanced SoC development.

Knowledge of radio access systems and their components.

Experience with VHDL and/or SystemVerilog.

A track record of successful collaboration across teams and sites.

A quality-focused mindset.
