Senior Project Manager

Digital Management, Volvo Trucks

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager who thrives in complexity and can lead strategic initiatives that create measurable business value. This is a unique opportunity to influence Volvo Trucks' digital transformation journey and work closely with senior leaders, digital product teams, and business stakeholders across the Volvo Group.

Your MissionAs a Senior Project Manager & Transformation Lead within Digital Management, you will lead high-impact initiatives at the intersection of business strategy, digital technology, organizational transformation, AI, and data.

You will be responsible for driving large-scale programs and projects from idea to successful implementation, ensuring alignment across multiple functions and stakeholders. Success in this role requires a combination of strategic thinking, strong execution capabilities, and the ability to lead through influence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic and cross-functional transformation initiatives across Volvo Trucks

Drive programs involving digital products, AI, data, process transformation, and new business capabilities

Establish project structures, governance, roadmaps, and delivery plans

Ensure alignment between business objectives and digital investments

Manage stakeholders at senior leadership and executive levels

Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities and drive proactive mitigation

Facilitate decision-making and executive steering forums

Secure successful change adoption and business value realization

Support the continuous evolution of our digital ways of working, governance, and portfolio management practices

Who You AreYou are a trusted leader who combines strategic perspective with strong delivery focus. You enjoy navigating ambiguity, bringing people together, and turning complex challenges into actionable plans.

You are known for creating momentum, building strong relationships, and delivering results in environments where collaboration matters more than formal authority.

Required Experience

University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent

Extensive experience leading large and complex projects, programs, or transformation initiatives

Proven track record of driving business and digital transformation

Strong stakeholder management skills, including interaction with executive leadership teams

Experience working across business, technology, and product organizations

Strong communication and facilitation skills

Demonstrated ability to manage uncertainty, complexity, and organizational change

Fluent in English

Meritorious•    Experience from the automotive industry or other global industrial organizations•    Experience within digital product organizations, data analytics, AI, or software-enabled business development•    Knowledge of agile at scale, product-centric operating models, and portfolio management•    Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Prosci, or equivalent
