Why this role
Want to build and improve an industrial process, hands-on? At Supernormal Greens, we’re building the journey from harvested plants to finished botanical ingredients. Now we’re looking for an engineer who wants to understand that process inside out and make it work better.
Our post-harvest process covers washing, cryogenic freezing, frozen storage, freeze-drying, milling and packing. You’ll join while we’re developing and commissioning it, with plenty to test, understand and improve.
Your job is easy to describe: help the process deliver more, with the right quality and a stable operation. You’ll work closely with production, maintenance, quality and R&D, and have a real say in the equipment and ways of working.
What you will do
Get to know the process. Understand how each step works, where we lose capacity or yield, and what could run better.
Test your ideas. Plan trials, use the data and check which changes actually improve performance.
Work close to the equipment. Team up with operators and technicians to solve problems and find their root causes.
Help bring new equipment into production. Work with suppliers on requirements, factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT), installation and commissioning.
Make improvements last. Put instructions, documentation and maintenance requirements in place as equipment moves into stable production.
Share what you learn. Develop standard ways of working, support operator training and work with maintenance on preventive and operator maintenance.
Post-harvest is your main focus. You’ll also work with our Cultivation Technology Specialist and occasionally help with other technical projects.
Priorities are agreed with your manager.
What you will bring (must-haves)
A relevant engineering degree or equivalent competence gained through experience.
A few years of technical experience close to industrial production, with examples of problems solved or improvements delivered.
The ability to use data and trials to investigate problems and evaluate results.
A structured, practical approach and the ability to move work forward together with colleagues.
Good spoken and written English for supplier and team collaboration and technical documentation. Swedish is an advantage.
Bonus (nice-to-haves)
Experience with freezing, freeze-drying, milling or packing, preferably in food or process manufacturing.
Involvement in equipment installation, commissioning or production ramp-up.
Experience working with suppliers, root cause analysis, standard work or maintenance development.
Your growth guide
Meet Gustav Edberg, our Chief Production Officer and your manager. Gustav is down-to-earth, listens carefully and cares about the people he works with. He also expects you to take ownership and follow through. Manufacturing excellence is very much his thing.
He joined us in November 2025, bringing experience in process improvement and factory development from Tetra Pak and across industries by consulting at EFESO Nordics. Together, you’ll agree priorities and follow up on progress.
Some other facts
Full time in Tibro, Sweden, normally 07:00–16:00. Primarily on site, with some remote flexibility when tasks allow. Some supplier travel and busier periods during commissioning may occur.
Permanent employment with an initial probationary period. We have a collective bargaining agreement through Livsmedelsföretagen, including occupational pension and insurance under the applicable terms, plus an annual wellness allowance of SEK 3,000.
We interview as applications come in and aim to fill the role as soon as possible, with a start date agreed together. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, we’d like to hear from you.
