Hykmann Global Business Solutions AB is looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Consultant for a strategic, long-term assignment with an internationally renowned client in the banking and financial services sector in Solna, Sweden.

Are you a senior accounting professional with deep expertise in financial reporting, banking regulations, IFRS, and hedge accounting? We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with hands-on regulatory reporting experience, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage complex reporting processes independently.

🎯 About the Role

As a Senior Accounting Consultant, you will play a key role in financial and regulatory reporting, supporting both local reporting obligations and group-level requirements.

You will work with complex accounting matters, regulatory submissions, financial instruments, and international consolidation processes. Your expertise will help ensure accurate reporting, compliance with applicable standards, and high-quality financial information for internal and external stakeholders.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Prepare and support financial and regulatory reporting activities within a banking environment.

Manage regulatory reporting to the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen).

Prepare and support reporting to the Riksbank and Statistics Sweden (SCB).

Apply IFRS requirements to banking transactions and financial reporting.

Manage hedge accounting activities, including documentation, effectiveness testing, and ongoing reporting.

Analyse financial instruments and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.

Contribute to group reporting, consolidation, and international reporting processes.

Interpret regulatory and accounting requirements and translate them into effective reporting practices.

Support audits and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Maintain high standards of accuracy, documentation, compliance, and reporting quality.

Skills & requirements

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

Extensive experience in senior accounting and financial reporting within the banking sector.

Proven hands-on experience with regulatory reporting to Finansinspektionen.

Practical experience reporting to the Riksbank and Statistics Sweden (SCB).

Strong knowledge of IFRS and its practical application in banking.

Experience with hedge accounting, including documentation, effectiveness testing, and ongoing reporting requirements.

Solid understanding of financial instruments and their accounting treatment.

Experience in international group environments, including group reporting and consolidation.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and implement complex regulatory and accounting requirements.

Ability to work independently and manage complex reporting processes with a high level of accuracy.

Proficiency in English and Swedish.

Experience supporting external audits and working directly with external auditors.

Involvement in regulatory change initiatives or implementation of new reporting requirements.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience working in dynamic, complex, and highly regulated financial organisations.
